St. Joseph’s College Prayagraj joins hands to welcome the Chief Minister and his Special Delegates
St. Joseph’s College joins the human chain in welcoming the Chief Minister and his delegates at Chandra Shekhar Azad Park on 10th January 2019. It was a concerted effort of the administration and the group of Amar Ujala to welcome the saints and the historians who are visiting the city of Prayagraj where a mega event MahaKumbh will be organised from 14th of January 2019 to 4th of March 2019.
The programme “Sanskritik Setu” started with the boys of St. Joseph’s College portraying the cultural heritage and also show the message of India “Unity in Diversity”. More than twenty schools of the city came together on one platform where the Chief Minister Mr. Yogi Aditya Nath started the ceremony with the lighting of the lamp along with the distinguished delegates. In this programme students of classes seventh and eighth were present.
The Honourable Chief Minister Mr. Yogi Aditya Nath in his opening speech welcomed the saints, the respected delegates and all the children and spoke extensively on the ritual of Indian culture that is “Atithi Devo Bhava”. He emphasized on the importance of this MahaKumbh which is not only a mega event but a reflection of the rich cultural heritage of India displaying the importance of rivers in our life. In his iconic speech he praised the vision of the Honourable Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi of keeping the environment clean and spread the message of “Clean India Green India”. He also said that the city of Prayagraj holds an important place in the history of the world and said that the city had been rich in producing the best talents in the world.
He is also going to inaugurate the Idol of Saint Bharadwaj Muni along with the president of India in the coming week which in itself is an achievements of sorts.
