What could be a greater way to serve humanity than by dedicating one's entire life to the amelioration of the human race? Few can hope to match the spirit of sacrifice and compassion that a priest exemplifies.
On 3rd February, 2026, St.Joseph's College, Prayagraj organised a short assembly to felicitate and wish its dynamic Principal, Rev.Fr.Walter D'Silva, on his birthday. Since five grieving members of the St.Joseph's family had in the recent past lost their beloved family members, as a mark of firm solidarity, Rev.Fr.Walter D'Silva in his characteristic humane way, had decided on no grand celebrations.
On behalf of the entire college, The College Headmaster, Rev.Fr.Melwin Pais, the Middle School Administrator and KG Coordinator, Rev.Fr.Gladwin Fernandes, the Additional Administrator, Mr.Aubrey Mc Gowan, the Staff Coordinator Mr.Jyoti Dube and the School Counsellor, Mrs.Aparna Ranjan presented a beautiful bouquet to Rev.Fr.Walter D'Silva.
After Mr.Jyoti Dube's warm wishes, Rev.Fr.Walter D'Silva thanked everyone for their best wishes, exhorting students to remember that life is the biggest gift. He urged them to believe in God and believe in themselves that they were stronger than any challenges and to never surrender to any pressures as life is all about rising to the occasion.
