Melodies of the Nation: Voices United in Patriotism
“Sare Jahan Se Achha, Hindustan Hamara.”
Music has the power to transcend boundaries, unite hearts, and give voice to the deepest emotions of a nation. Celebrating this spirit of patriotism and unity, the Music Association of St. Joseph’s College, Prayagraj, organised the Inter-House Patriotic Group Singing Competition on Friday, 14th August 2026, providing a vibrant platform for students to express their love and devotion for the nation through music.
The event commenced with a warm welcome to all present. The President of the Music Association, Amber Srivastava, along with the dynamic Executive Office Bearers of the Music Association, made a ceremonial entry, setting an enthusiastic tone for the proceedings.
The programme continued with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising the dispelling of darkness and the illumination of knowledge, unity, and creativity.
This was followed by the Bible reading and prayer led by Anosh K John, invoking God’s blessings and inspiring a spirit of patriotism and gratitude.
The college choir then filled the atmosphere with devotion and harmony, presenting the Song of Unity, “Tu Hi Ram Hai,” which deeply moved the audience and set a soulful tone for the competition.
The presentation of saplings was a thoughtful gesture of respect and appreciation towards the dignitaries.
Aaron Ansh Roy then introduced the distinguished panel. The esteemed panel of judges comprised Mrs. Reshma Srivastava, Mr. Vivek Priyadarshan, and Mr. Harendra Pratap Singh, whose presence encouraged the participants.
The competition saw enthusiastic participation from all four houses of the college—Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue. Each house presented a soulful and inspiring performance, celebrating the spirit of patriotism, unity, and national pride. The students’ melodious voices, coordinated presentations, and meaningful song choices filled the venue with emotion, energy, and a deep sense of love for the country.
Adding a special dimension to the programme, the Music Association presented a special musical performance, which was warmly received and greatly appreciated by the audience.
