THUMB PRINTING CLASS ACTIVITY IN KG SECTION
The thumb printing activity was conducted as part of a creative art session in the Kindergarten( UKG - LKG ) and also to introduce young learners to the concept of textures, colours, and shapes using a fun and interactive thumb printing activity on different types of fruits and vegetables. Teachers guided the students to use their thumbs to make prints on various types of fruits and vegetables such as apples, kiwis, oranges, potatoes, carrots, and eggplants .
This will help the students in the development of fine motor skills through thumb movement, encouragement of creativity , colour sense and enhanced sensory experience along with recognition of vegetable and fruit names with their shapes and colours.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the activity. They were excited to see the colourful impressions left by their thumbs .The thumb printing on fruits and vegetables activity was a joyful and educational experience for the children. It successfully combined art, nature, and learning in a simple yet effective way. The activity will be repeated in future sessions with variations to keep the learning dynamic and engaging.
