My India, My Vote
A democracy flourishes only when it’s citizens exercise their constitutional duty to cast their votes. In order that the citizens of tomorrow become aware of their responsibilities, St. Joseph's College, Prayagraj conducted a special assembly on 24th January 2026, to mark the National Voters Day.
The entire staff and the students from classes 6 to 10 assembled in the College Quadrangle to observe a day which hearkens back to 25th January 2011 when under the stewardship of the then premier Dr. Manmohan Singh, this day was observed for the first time.
The special assembly conducted by the School Counsellor Dr. Mrs. Aparna Ranjan reflected on how imperative it is for each person over the age of 18 years to contribute to the national development. The College Principal, Rev. Fr. Walter D'Silva led the assembled gathering in the pledge to cast votes without any favour or inducement.
The theme for this year's National Voters Day is My India, My Vote.
