SJC WELCOMES ITS NEW PRINCIPAL REV. FATHER THOMAS KUMAR

Heralding a new chapter in its history of progress, St. Joseph's College, Prayagraj geared up on 29th June 2019 to welcome it's new Principal, Rev. Fr. Thomas Kumar. The programme commenced with the Mistress of Ceremonies Mrs. Divya Raj welcoming both the Principals with a lovely bouquet with wishes highlighting the importance of beginnings and endings as an essential part of life. Following the Bible Reading by Mrs. Jennifer Cutting and a prayer song by the Jr. section staff. There was a floral welcome of the new Principal Rev. Fr. Thomas Kumar by the outgoing Principal Rev. Fr. Rolfie D'Souza, Mr. Jyoti Dube, the Staff Coordinator, Ms. L. Moore, Ms. Saumya Prakash on behalf of the Jr. Section and the KG sections respectively and Mr. Saju on behalf of the office staff.

The KG section staff next mesmerized the audience with a soulful devotional song. Mrs. D. Raj, the Mistress of Ceremonies, introduced the new Principal, Rev. Fr. Thomas Kumar, highlighting his various achievements ever since he was ordained on 28th April 1996. A Principal, an administrator, a priest par excellence, Rev. Fr. Thomas Kumar had previously acted as the Headmaster of the Junior Section in St. Joseph's College, Prayagraj from 1999-2002.

Rev. Fr. Rolfie D'Souza introduced the new Principal Rev. Fr. Thomas Kumar appreciating him for his stellar leadership ability, while stating on how he is going to miss the family of St. Joseph's College, Prayagraj. Wishing the very best to all, Rev. Fr. Rolfie D'Souza, asked for God's choicest blessings to be showered on all.

Rev. Fr. Thomas Kumar in his inaugural address to the gathering, humbly thanked Rev. Fr. Rolfie D'Souza for always being a willing guide and promised to make the teaching-learning process stress free and joyous for one and all.

Subsequently, the senior section choir delighted the audience with a wonderful song and grace was offered by Mr. J. Dube, thus concluding the event for the day.
